The Municipality consists of four villages. Portaria, Ano Drianouvena, and Vizantina with the chapel of Panaghia Portarea, from which the area takes its name, the fount Mana, plane trees and natural water springs with running water. Alli Meria is a more recent traditional area, which in older years was mainly pastureland inhabited by peasants, and has developed into one of the most beautiful villages with floriculture and an exquisite view of Volos. Stagiates, which is renown for its spring of crystalline water and the traditional sausages, and Katihori famous for its wine and tsipouro, the amphitheatrical urban planning and the hospitality of the residents.
